Trying to read up on it, but so far I'm kind of confused. Prepare your hearts for a bone-shattering defeat until we get some experience figuring this thing out.

That said, how cool is it that we have 25 players?!?! 6 months ago this would have been nigh impossible!

I don't have numerous 6* and 7* characters, so I place mine on defensive territories which had fewer assigned teams. Good luck!

We were defeated pretty handily. So what did we learn?

I think more information on the wars in general, it appears to me that it is similar to most mobile clan/guild/alliance war-type games, just our toons are the armies for each area. I feel like it might just be trial and error that will give us a better grasp of what our players can and can not do.
